Novel Release

It has been busy few months. It was September 2016 that the publisher, Second Story Press, offered to publish my first English language novel. I was excited and scared at the same time. This was a long time coming. I have been working on this novel since 2011. I have a full time teaching job, teaching at a secondary school. On top of that, I teach two nights a week as an adult education instructor. This is above and beyond caring for my mother with Alzheimers. Many people ask me where I find the time to write. My answer to that is, writing is where I go to escape. It is my place of comfort, to get away from the days that leave with exhaustion.

Signing the contract was thrilling, but with it came a lot of work. Major revisions needed to be done to meet fall release dateline. Although, I told the editor, the manuscript will be ready on time, I was scared often I wouldn’t be able to meet them at times. With the support of family and friends, I was able to keep up with it. I know there are mixture of exciting and challenging days ahead, I have all the support I need to get where I want to go. The novel, Tale of a Boon’s Wife is slated to be released in October 2017. It is available for pre-order now here

I stare at it the first time I saw it on the publisher’s website and I can’t believe it is happening. The whole thing feels so unreal. The days I feel overwhelmed with all the responsibility in front of me, I retreat to my work in progress, Winter of my Spring. The title is in working title too but it has nice sound to it, I think it will stick with the manuscript.
